About Founder
Parmesh Kumar is the founder of Himalaya Trek Inn, based in the scenic village of Sankri, Uttarakhand. A former biking enthusiast who organized Himalayan biking expeditions for over 12 years, Parmesh brings deep on-ground experience of the Himalayas.
After spending 18 years in the corporate world in Delhi, he chose to pursue his passion for adventure and mountain life. Today, he lives in Sankri, promoting responsible tourism and creating a reliable base for trekkers, riders, and adventure seekers exploring the Sankri Valley.
From corporate boardrooms to Himalayan basecamps — Parmesh now dedicates his life to the mountains and the people who come to experience them.

We are not a city-based booking platform that outsources to local guides — we live here, trek here, and have built our entire operation from the ground up in the mountains we call home.

Our Story: Born in Sankri, Built for the Himalaya
Sankri sits at 1,920 metres in the Supin River valley — a small Garhwali village that happens to be the gateway to four of India’s most celebrated trekking routes: Kedarkantha, Har Ki Dun, Ruinsara Tal, and Dev Kyara Bugyal. We grew up watching trekkers arrive in this village from across India and the world, and we watched many of them leave with an incomplete experience — under-equipped, under-informed, or guided by people who had never actually walked the routes they were selling.
Himalaya Trek Inn was built to change that. We started with a handful of trekking packages, a certified guide team drawn entirely from local Garhwali families, and a commitment to honest, transparent pricing. We then added our cottage accommodation — warm, comfortable, and positioned with unobstructed views of the surrounding peaks — so that guests could arrive a day early, acclimatize properly, and depart with energy rather than exhaustion.
Today we serve first-time weekend trekkers from Delhi, experienced mountaineers planning week-long Himalayan circuits, school and corporate groups, and families travelling together across a wide age range. The mountain does not discriminate — and neither do we.

They know which section of the Kedarkantha trail ices over first, which campsite loses the wind when the temperature drops below -10°C, and which family in Osla village will share the warmest fire after a long day on the Har Ki Dun trail.
Our senior guides hold WFR (Wilderness First Responder) certification issued by recognised mountain safety training institutions. All guides carry first aid kits, pulse oximeters, and emergency communication devices on every departure. Fluent in Hindi and Garhwali; English-language guiding available on all routes.
